AFA Art House Calgary Collection
This series of paintings, created during my term as Alberta’s Artist in Residence, celebrates the diverse and ever-changing landscapes of our province. Painted both en plein air and in the studio, these works capture Alberta’s sweeping skies, rolling prairies, rugged mountains, and quiet wooded spaces, each reflecting the light, atmosphere, and spirit of place. The plein air pieces carry the immediacy and energy of painting outdoors, where shifting weather and fleeting light shape the brushstrokes, while the studio works allow for deeper reflection and refinement. Together, the series forms a visual record of my journey across Alberta—an artistic exploration that honours the land and invites viewers to experience its beauty, stillness, and vitality through paint.
